Tri-state meet

Just want to let every know that the Tri-state meet is a go for Sept 19th ~ 21st. there will be Friday night drags at KCIR, Saturday dyno at Modified, and other activities.

Friday night:

Friday Fun Drags at Kansas City International Raceway
Gates open at 5:30
Races 6 – 10pm
Racers $20 / General admin $10 / kid under 12 free

Crap - I need a helmet and I have to install a cutoff switch for the battery relocation to the trunk - prolly a good idea anyway.

I'm not sure what a drive shaft loop is, but I won't be running under 11.5 anyway unless there is one hell of a breeze.

Hey All...can't wait to see everybody....I'm going to try and make most of the events, but do need to let you know that I no longer own my stealth....It was totaled back in early April....long story, but it was my fault and I'm lucky to be alive...my cell is 816-616-3046 if you want more details....glad to see everybody is doing good and I'll try to come to the site more often and am looking forward to seeing everybody in September.

Eh, depends on how picky the techs are. Really, they could probably fail you on just the battery enclosure (or lack of). In my experience, the test n tune nights the techs are a little more lax on inspection, but I don't know about KCIR. I have a helmet you can borrow, but it's not snell 2000, only d.o.t. approved.

From my experiences at kcir they're fairly relaxed and just tell you to "try to get this fixed by next time" I ran without a battery tie down and my friend ran his 240sx with a battery relocation and no switch. I'm not saying they let everything go but they're pretty relaxed with teching cars unless it's something not safe at all for the most part.

I want to stay downtown at Crown Center, my GF is coming so I want her to have something fun to do also .... shopping - lol ... And it's in the middle of the 2 events ... or so it seems on the map.

3. I'll get the cut off switch and might even be able to rig an enclosure, but the switch would be easier to get to w/o a cover. I have a fire extinguisher thanks to the last Tri-State meet

So I will look safe at least ... and can I try on your helmet dude ? Or maybe I can wear Aaron's Raider helmet - hehe

1. That is a shame - did you save the wheels ?

Nope...when I hit the curb, both of the passenger side wheels were broke in half. I did end up on top after I settled with the insurance company.
